Apna Kitchen: Experience Authentic Indian Cuisine in Chattanooga

The authentic Indian dishes at Apna Kitchen did not disappoint. In fact, we’ve marked Apna as one of the best Indian restaurants we’ve been to around the country! We visited there for dinner tonight and we were greeted with smiles and seated right away. Our Taj Mahal beer was appropriately served in frosted mugs and the spicy mint chutney served with an appetizer of thin and crispy chips was delicious. We ordered a cup of the lentil soup and samosas to start, tandoori chicken and lamb tikka masala with garlic naan for our meal. The samosas were perfect, with a very light outer crust and a tasty filling. I also enjoyed the lentil soup, although I was hoping for a little more spice. The chicken was perfectly spiced, served sizzling with onions and peppers and the lamb tikka was extremely tender and full of flavor as well. They also made sure there was plenty of garlic on the soft and slightly crispy naan. Our host brought us a rice pudding dessert to taste, and it was a pleasant surprise for me, as I typically do not like rice pudding! It was a perfect final flavor to top off the fantastic dinner. It was truly delicious and definitely a spot we’d love to visit again.

This is an Indian gem here in East Ridge! have been to India and eaten homemade Indian food in the home of friends. I have eaten at some of the best Indian restaurants around the country as well. This is as good as anything I’ve had, even in India. On top of that, the friendly service was amazing. They were helpful when trying to decide what to order and extra accommodating when I wanted Masala Tea made without sugar. They even brought us all a sweet rice desert at the end of the meal. Highly recommend! We ordered the chicken 65 which was hot and crispy! We also got goat biriyani, butter chicken, and lamb vindaloo. I was so excited that they had fermented mango pickles, as I have had a hard time finding them. They were delicious! I also loved the cracker they serve when you arrive. Very crispy and flavorful. So excited it’s just a few minutes down the road from us. Can’t wait to try the buffet.

I went here with my girlfriend and they were very kind! I tried the butter chicken (ive never had it before) and it was one of the best things ive ever tasted. It was sad to see there was barely anyone in there they definitely deserve all the business. Definitely recommend!

Delicious food, prompt seating and service. Have a "4" on service due to the server was a little "cold".... non engaging... we're not in need of conversation but a sense of welcome over complacent represents a business more favorably. Would definitely return if in area.

Visited Apna Kitchen and I had such a great experience at this Indian buffet! The absolute highlight for me was that they offer small bowls, which made it so easy (and fun!) to try a little bit of everything without overloading my plate. I love being able to sample all the different flavors, and this setup made it perfect. Everything I tried was fresh and flavorful, with that comforting, rich spice that makes Indian food so satisfying. And don’t even get me started on the desserts — so good! The perfect sweet finish to the meal. The mango lassi was especially delicious — sweet, creamy, and surprisingly filling. It tied everything together and felt like a treat all on its own. If you enjoy variety and want to taste a little bit of everything, this buffet is definitely worth it. I’ll absolutely be back!

A fantastic dining experience from start to finish. The restaurant is spotless, with a warm and cozy atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable right away. The staff are polite, attentive, and very professional. The lamb tikka masala is tender and rich in flavor, perfectly paired with hot, fluffy garlic naan. To finish, the gulab jamun is soft, warm, and perfectly sweet — the ideal ending to a great meal. Delicious food, excellent service, and a clean, welcoming space. Highly recommended.

Apna kitchen now has a lunch buffet, and OMG it's amazing! Authentic and delicious Indian food in East Ridge? I could eat this for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Also, a shout out to the staff for being friendly and amazing! They were so kind and helpful when I had a problem with my phone while I was there.

We came here with a few friends and tried five dishes, all were very good. They were a perfect balance of spices. We really enjoyed the butter chicken and Malai kofta. The naan was perfect - it was fluffy, crispy and chewy at the same time. The service was very good, the waiters were attentive and friendly.
